Katie’s Reveal Shocks Donna to Her Core — and Brooke Tries Seducing Her Way Into the Co-CEO Position

At Brooke’s place, Hope keeps pumping up her mother to replace Steffy as co-CEO. Brooke wants to, but she loves Ridge too much to put him in that position. At Forrester, Carter congratulates Ridge and Steffy on their successful strategy. Ridge says it’s all Steffy. Carter calls them the “dream team”. At Logan, Donna stops in as Katie tells someone on the phone that they hope to find a designer who can match Eric. Donna doubts that’s possible.

Donna, unpacking Chinese takeout, wonders who Katie can possibly turn to next. Katie loses her appetite, so Donna concludes she’s freaking out over Eric no longer being with Logan. Katie huffs that she’s starting to sound like Brooke.

Katie swears Donna to secrecy and alludes to something complicated she’s dying to talk to someone about. “You can’t tell anyone, especially Brooke.” Donna can’t promise that. Katie throws up her hands… she can’t tell her.

Top Position

At Brooke’s place, Hope suggests that Steffy and Ridge kept Brooke out of a top position because of her. Maybe it’s time she didn’t put Ridge first. She urges her to talk to her husband and advocate for herself. Brooke will. Hope squeal and claps with glee.

Later, Hope corrals Steffy in the office at Forrester and the latter explains how great she and her dad work together as co-CEOs. Hope needles about her shelving her line. Steffy tells her there’s not much she can do about it. Hope snarks, “You might be wrong about that.

Back at Brooke’s place, she greets Ridge with alcohol and lingerie (of course) for their discussion. She announces they’re celebrating everything they’ve accomplished together in the past… and in the future.

They go over how lucky they are before Brooke launches into wanting to be by his side… in their house, their bedroom… and the office. She had a conversation with Hope earlier. Ridge guesses this is about Hope’s line and grunts that Steffy made a good business decision.

Brooke argues that Steffy lets her feelings cloud her judgement. There is someone else who could be co-CEO. A bigger name with more experience. “It’s time for a change. I want you to make me co-CEO alongside you.”

The Final Scenes

At Logan, Katie resists telling Donna her secret, which has the potential to be explosive. Donna finally promises not to tell anyone, so Katie opens up. There’s no replacing Eric, which is why they need an attention-grabbing name… someone like Hope. Donna’s gawps. “No, Katie! No freakin’ way!”

At Forrester, Steffy tells Hope to let this go; she’s not going to change her mind. As she walks out, she reminds her she’s co-CEO. Once alone, Hope whispers, “Maybe not for long.”

At Brooke’s place, she tells Ridge she wants to be the new Eric and Stephanie: The king and queen of fashion. Ridge knows she’s not asking what he thinks she’s asking him. Brooke goes on about how incredible it could be as he squirms. This is coming out of the blue.

Brooke needs him to do this for her. Ridge grunts, “What? Fire Steffy?” Brooke clucks that she’ll be fine in another position. This is what everyone wants to see. “I want it,” and using her persuasive powers of ESP, she intones, “I think you want it too.” Turning on the sex appeal, she asks him to tell her he’ll make her co-CEO. They kiss.
