As the episode begins, Ridge is at Brooke’s reiterating why he can’t give her Steffy’s job at the drop of a hat. At that very moment, Finn and Hayes are surprising Steffy with a workplace pop-in. Lastly, Electra tells Dylan that she’s ready to repair their friendship. “I will never do anything to let you down again,” Dylan promises… even as she eyes Remy in the doorway.
Dylan Hangs a ‘No Creeps Allowed’ Sign
After the opening credits, Electra excuses herself, paving the way for Remy to sneak into the design office to badger Dylan some more. What’s the big deal? “With you around, I have everything to worry about!” she cries. Oh, that.
Remy’s not concerned about the impact that his presence could have on his cousin’s life or, for that matter, Electra’s. He’s so sick of being a deliveryman that he has no [bleeps] to give.
Too bad, so sad, Dylan says in essence. She won’t help Remy after what he did to Electra. “I just want a second chance, especially with Deke,” he whines, adding that he’s been going to therapy. “I’m not a creep!”
Oh yeah? Dylan immediately reminds Remy of all the creepy things he’s done just recently. Then, once again, she tells him to stay away from FC. But the jig may already be up. The doorknob turns. Dylan and Remy freeze in place. Cue the panic!
Steffy Unpacks Her Hurt Feelings
In the CEO’s office, Electra joins in the Hayes hugfest just in time for Charlie to bust Finn and his son for sneaking into the building. Finn quickly hustles out Hayes, Charlie and Electra so that he can talk to his wife about her very-bad day.
“My dad asked me to step down as co-CEO,” Steffy admits. And even though she held onto her job, “this feels like a real loss,” just owing to the fact that her dad asked in the first place.
Brooke Has One More Request of Ridge
At Brooke’s, Ridge asks if he and his wife can agree that it’s not right to make a change when it’s unnecessary. Stunningly, Brooke agrees. So why is she crying? “These tears are not for me, Ridge,” she says. “They’re for you.” Huh?
Oh, Brooke is being empathetic for a change. She tells Ridge that she is fine, even without the co-CEO title. But she does still want something from her husband: Couldn’t he maybe reactivate Hope For the Future? “Just talk to Steffy,” she says, “on my daughter’s behalf.”
Are Remy and Dylan Busted?
In the episode’s final moments, Brooke reassures Ridge that she has everything she wants with him… except for job security for Hope. Knowing he’s getting off easy, Ridge says sure, of course he’ll talk to Steffy. With that, off Brooke goes to try on the dress Ridge brought for her.
At FC, Remy hides before he can be spotted by… Hayes, who has a sweet reunion with Miss Dylan before being nudged out of the room. “That was way too close!” she tells her cuz. Yet one more time, she reminds him of how much her job at FC means to her and how badly hurt Electra was by the deepfakes.
Losing ground fast, Remy tries to keep a hold of Dylan by asking about her feelings for Will. She’s not worried about romance at all right now, she says. This moment is all about work… and Electra.
It’s Sexytime for ‘Bridge’
In the CEO’s office, Steffy receives a startling text from Brooke: “You’re a great CEO. No one can do it better than you.”
Finally, when Brooke returns to Ridge, she isn’t wearing the dress but a robe and nighty. What’s more, she’s ready and raring to show him how much he means to her. Candlelit smoochies commence.
