Uber Driver Babysits Two Toddlers for 2 Hours After Mom Vanishes – Bodycam Footage Released

In a disturbing incident in Sunrise, Florida, an Uber driver was left caring for two young children (ages 3 and 4) for over two hours after their mother disappeared. Bodycam footage from the Sunrise Police Department shows the driver explaining the situation: the woman appeared intoxicated, canceled the ride, gave him $10, and said she would return in three minutes — but never did.

The concerned driver waited, called her repeatedly, and eventually contacted police. Officers later located Emily Sabogal, 32, at a nearby shopping plaza. She was charged with child neglect without great bodily harm and two counts of desertion of a child. She was released after posting $3,000 bond.

The footage highlights the difficult position ride-share drivers can find themselves in and raises serious questions about parental responsibility.
