Will Dragon risk everything to save Garp or continue to be loyal to the revolution?

There are only a few One Piece characters who have created a massive impact, like Dragon.

Monkey D. Dragon is the leader of the Revolutionary Army. He created the organization after the Freedom Fighters failed to make a desirable impact. Dragon is a prudent man who makes decisions after carefully calculating all the risks. It is one of the main reasons why he has not put a foot wrong.

However, things might change after he learns about the kidnapping\ At the moment there is very limited information regarding the relationship between the two, but it is entirely possible that he may try to help Garp leave Hachinosu.

How Monkey D. Garp Was Captured By The Blackbeard Pirates

Garb traveled to the island to help Koby escape the clutches of the Blackbeard Pirates. Throughout his illustrious career, Garp has had to deal with betrayal. First, his son left the Marines to form the Revolutionary Army, and, in doing so, he became the number one enemy of the World Government. Then he failed to convince Ace to become a marine like him. Finally, Garp was unable to stop Luffy from pursuing his dream of becoming a pirate. All these things likely weighed on his mind, so he could not let a ruthless group of pirates kill his protégé.

Garp Was Doing All The Hard Work

Upon his arrival, Garp began attacking the pirates, which diverted their attention away from Koby. The latter was able to run away, but his escape was halted by Kuzan. The ex-Admiral would not allow Blackbeard’s prized prisoner to escape scot-free.

Garp knew that Kuzan would not go down without a fight, so it would be futile to hold back. The fight between the two was spectacular, and it caused widespread destruction. Initially, Garp had the momentum, and he overwhelmed Kuzan. However, the tide of the battle turned when the other Blackbeard Pirates joined the fray.

Koby is the future of the Navy! –Monkey D. Garp

Aside from Kuzan, Garp now had to deal with Avalo Pizarro, Shiryu, San Juan Wolf, and Vasco Shot. Furthermore, he had to protect the younger Marines from any fatal attacks. In his heyday, having so many responsibilities wouldn’t have been a problem. But he was past his prime, so it ended up landing him in mortal peril.

Garp’s Sacrifice Saved The Lives Of Many Marines

While he was busy fighting Kuzan, Koby was lured into a trap by the pirates. Garp was aware that his student was in mortal danger. Garp was aware that Koby was being set up, so he pushed his student out of harm’s way. This resulted in Garp sustaining a fatal wound to his torso, which considerably weakened him. Kuzan took advantage of the situation and began attacking Garp once again. This time the attacks were working, and it made the pirates confident that they could actually win the fight.

Garp was aware that he could not do everything by himself, so he ordered Koby and others to follow his plan. Kobe was able to break Pizarro’s arm and save the Marines from annihilation. However, he could not do anything to protect Garp. With no other option, the Navy captain had to leave his mentor behind.

Will Dragon Save His Father?

Monkey D. Dragon Won’t Risk A Full-On War With The Blackbeard Pirates

Dragon and Blackbeard have a past

However, Dragon’s goal is fight the World Government

Dragon is aware of Blackbeard’s threat, so he wouldn’t want to do anything reckless. In fact, there is a very small chance that he will actually try to rescue his father from the clutches of the pirates. In the past, Dragon has shown that he cares about his family members. For instance, he protected Luffy from being captured by Smoker in Logue Town, but it was likely because he was present in the same area.

However, fans must remember that Dragon’s Revolutionary Army clashed with the Blackbeard Pirates in Baltigo, after which they had to relinquish their control over the island. The two sides have a lot of bad blood between them. So, there’s a small chance that Garp’s imprisonment could force Dragon into action. The leader of the Revolutionary Army has the means necessary to raid any island. However, Dragon will likely abstain from starting an all-out war, as his main goal is to demolish the tyrannical World Government.
