The warrior of liberation and the Sun God, Luffy is one of the mightiest individuals in One Piece right now, as is indicated by his Yonko status.
In the Wano Country Arc of One Piece, Luffy showcased his incredible strength by reaching the very top and even toppling the likes of Kaido in battle. This was a massive step for Luffy, and fans knew that after the defeat of the Emperor, he would go on to reach very high status in the world.
Perhaps, few predicted Luffy to become a Yonko, but now, it is clear that he has officially gained that status. But, Luffy’s goal was never to become the Yonko. In fact, his sights are set much higher and he wants to become the Pirate King. At the same time, Luffy’s growth in terms of strengths means that, in every possible way, Luffy’s bounty will only go higher.
Luffy’s Current Bounty in One Piece
Luffy attained a 3 billion berries bounty after Wano
Beating Kaido made Luffy a Yonko
When speaking of Luffy’s bounties, fans know that he has always been a box of surprises. In the East Blue segment of the story, Luffy attained a 30 million berry bounty, which was, at the time, the highest on the seas and shocked just about everyone. In the Grand Line, where Luffy’s enemies heavily underestimated him, he attained a 100 million berry bounty, which, once again, led to jaws dropping on the floor. Luffy then attained a 300 million bounty after the Enies Lobby arc, and his bounty would actually have been even higher if the events surrounding Gekko Moria’s fall had not been covered up by the Government.

Luffy arrived on Sabaody Archipelago with a 300 million bounty and this was certainly a massive reward. This essentially meant that he was one of the mightiest on the first half of the Grand Line, and at the same time, it also gave fans an indication of what kind of a threat he would go on to become in the future. The World Government was increasingly wary of Luffy, and rightly so. In the Paramount War, Luffy took an active part, despite being locked up and Impel Down prior to it. Even though Luffy failed to save Ace in the Summit War Arc, he certainly did go on to make an impression and his bounty rose even further to 400 million berries.
After the defeat of Doflamingo, Luffy’s reward rose by another 100 million and reached 500 million in total. The events of Whole Cake Island saw Luffy’s bounty shoot incredibly high. Luffy finally reached a billion berry mark, and actually went on to surpass it. To be more precise, Luffy attained a bounty of 1.5 billion berries after beating Katakuri, Cracker, and destroying Big Mom’s Tea Party.
Then came the most significant step in Luffy’s journey as a pirate, and this was the Wano Country Arc. In this particular arc, Luffy fought to the utmost best and even went on to advance his Haki tremendously. He managed to learn all three forms of advanced Haki, and at the same time, he also awakened his Devil Fruit, tapping into the power of Gear 5. With all his newly awakened powers, Luffy was finally able to defeat Kaido, the strongest creature in the world and the man considered to be the strongest pirate. Because of this massive feat, his bounty was eventually raised to 3 billion berries, which was incredibly high.
Why Luffy’s Bounty Will Be The Highest At The End Of One Piece
Luffy Will Surpass All Others In The Final Saga
When talking of Luffy’s end-of-series bounty, it is no surprise for the fans to know that it is highly likely going to be the highest in the entire series. In fact, this bounty might even go on to be the highest in the history of all bounties in the story, and once again, that should not come as a surprise to anyone. The fact is that Luffy is already very dangerous. He has a 3 billion bounty right now, but this reward doesn’t do justice to his actual level of strength.
Luffy’s bounty right now is the same as Kid in Law, and fans know that he’s far stronger than either of them, and that the fact is that he was able to match Kaido in battle, whose own bounty is 4.611 billion berries.
If anything, Luffy’s bounty should be at least 4 billion berries, if not higher. That said, this doesn’t hold much weight because his reward will go on to grow further. After the events of the Final Saga, Luffy’s bounty is likely to grow significantly. The biggest leap that Luffy’s bounty will take is when he becomes the Pirate King and uncovers all the secrets of the world.
I will protect everything! That’s what the last two years were for. – Luffy
At this point, Luffy will be the biggest threat to the World Government, not only because he uncovered the truth of the world, but also because he will take further steps after and possibly engage the World Government in a massive war. This would mean that Luffy would be the most wanted person in the world of One Piece, and his bounty would certainly be similar to what Roger had. But, in the case of Luffy, this Bounty is likely to be even higher, especially because he’d have done what Roger didn’t, and that is gaining the power of the Nika Devil Fruit. Luffy has seen to it that the Nika fruit awakened after 800 years. He is the second coming of Joy Boy, and he will destroy the World Government, which essentially means that he is a bigger threat than Roger could have ever been in One Piece, and for this reason, Luffy will have the highest bounty in the entire series.
How Much Will Luffy’s Bounty Be?
Luffy’s Bounty Could Be 5.6 Billion Berries
Naturally, fans would want to know how much Luffy’s bounty is going to be. For one, it is a given that Luffy’s final bounty is going to surpass 5 billion berries. The question remains as to how high his bounty will go. Right now, the highest bound in the story belongs to none other than Roger, which stands at 5.564 billion berries. This is a very high reward, but Luffy will most likely go on to surpass it.
The number 56 has been attached to Luffy by Oda on many occasions, and this is simply because it spells Go Mu in Goroawase, and that is Luffy’s devil fruit. 5.6 billion berries is a very nice figure that Luffy could go on to attain at the end of One Piece. But, it is also possible that Oda will surprise all the fans and give Luffy a bounty even higher.
In all fairness, Luffy certainly does deserve a bounty much higher than Roger’s and not just 200 million more, especially because he will go on to do what no individual after Joy Boy has ever dared to do. Luffy’s bounty is going to be incredibly high, with 5.6 billion berries being the baseline, and the sky being the limit. It shouldn’t be a surprise to fans if his boundary actually goes to surpass 6 billion berries or reaches even higher figures.
