A tragic story has emerged from Mexico, where Michaela Penley, a pregnant mother of seven, was reportedly murdered in a 𝓈𝒽𝓸𝒸𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 act of violence. Her family is left grappling with the devastating loss, as the accused is none other than the father of her children, Joseph Jude Butler Jr.

Michaela, who was between six and seven months pregnant, was found dead on June 8th. According to Mexican authorities, her death has been classified as a femicide, highlighting the brutal nature of the crime against her as a woman. Prosecutor Jorge Abara revealed that Michaela suffered severe head trauma from a blunt object, along with multiple injuries across her body.

Her uncle, Chris Lambert, shared that Michaela had been reported missing since late February, when a case manager from the Department of Child Services raised concerns about her and her children. In a heartbreaking GoFundMe post, one of Michaela’s sisters described the horrific details of her death, stating, “She was found stabbed, raped, sodomized, naked with her head bashed in.” The family is now left in shock and mourning, struggling to comprehend the loss of Michaela, who became a mother at just 16.

Reports indicate that Butler has a lengthy history of violence, including charges related to intimidation, 𝒹𝓇𝓊𝑔 possession, and more. Michaela’s family expressed their devastation over her murder, emphasizing the emotional toll it has taken on them. Chris Lambert described Michaela as a vibrant person who was always happy, stating, “She had a heart of gold and truly wanted a better life for herself and her kids.”

In the wake of this tragedy, the seven children, thankfully unharmed, are expected to return to Indiana. Chris hopes that they will be placed with family who can provide the love and support they need during this difficult time. He expressed concern over the potential for the children to be separated or placed in unsuitable homes, emphasizing the importance of keeping them together.

The family is now rallying to support the children, with plans to ensure they receive the necessary care and guidance. Chris shared that they are preparing to welcome the kids back, hoping to create a stable environment for them after such a traumatic experience.

As the legal proceedings against Butler continue, the family is left to navigate their grief while seeking justice for Michaela. The community is encouraged to support the family through the GoFundMe set up to assist with the children’s needs.
