The season seven opener of The Walking Dead will live long in the memories of fans around the world. The AMC series premiere opened with Negan (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan) armed with his baseball bat, Lucille, deciding which member of the Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) crew to kill as punishment for their attacks on his Saviours. Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) was one of the unlucky characters to fall victim to the swing of Negan’s bat. In the years since actor Yeun has opened up about why he left TWD.

Many viewers thought this would be the extent of the group’s punishment – that was until Daryl (Norman Reedus) took a swing at Negan.

After leaving the AMC horror, Yeun also told the publication how it created a sense of “loneliness” within him.
He added: “I left Walking Dead and I kind of had an existential crisis.
“Not because I longed to be back there, but because I was made to feel the loneliness of life, which is that decisions aren’t made for you,
“You get swallowed up by whatever the thing that you’re a part of.”

Since leaving the show, Yeun has had no problems throwing himself back into other projects.
