At the 2022 IIFA Awards, Salman Khan became emotional as he recounted a difficult time in his life when he faced financial struggles. He shared how Suniel Shetty stepped in to help by buying him an expensive shirt. In a heartfelt moment captured on stage, anchor Riteish Deshmukh prompted Salman to reflect on this act of kindness, highlighting the strong bonds of friendship in the industry. Salman said, “Earlier when I didn’t have money, at that time, I went to Suniel Shetty’s clothing shop. It was a very expensive one. I couldn’t afford anything more than a shirt or a pair of jeans and at that time Suniel noticed that I had no money so he gifted me a stone wash shirt. He noticed that I had my eyes on a wallet.

With tears in his eyes, Salman moved closer to Suniel Shetty’s son, Ahan, who stood nearby. Ahan rose and embraced Salman warmly. Salman then shared, “He took me home and gave me that wallet,” recalling the heartfelt gesture that meant so much to him during tough times.
