One Piece: Oda Announces Two Major Projects During The Manga Break

Fans who keep up with the One Piece manga know that the upcoming 3 weeks are going to be quite difficult for them.

This is because Oda has recently announced that One Piece will go on an extended break, and this break is certainly longer than the others. However, in exchange for all that, fans also know that Oda is going to be focusing on two major projects, both of which are related to upcoming One Piece content.

This has excited everyone quite a lot, and now, the upcoming break week has something in it for the fans, which makes the wait for the upcoming chapter of the Elbaf Arc slightly more bearable.

Oda Reveals Plans To Go On A 2 Week Break

Oda Plans For The OPLA

One Piece manga going on a hiatus shouldn’t come as a surprise to any fan. Oda often takes breaks following a short run of chapters. A few years ago, Oda used to take breaks after every 5 or so chapters. At times, Oda even used to deliver 6 chapters in a row before taking a break. However, with time, and all the exhaustion that comes with working on a manga for over 25 years, Oda started to take more breaks. Slowly, a break after every 6 or 5 chapters turned into a break after every four chapters and that went on for quite a while. More recently, Oda has switched his schedule from a break after every four chapters to every three chapters.

Usually, that is the pattern that Oda follows, this simply means that most months, fans get around three chapters, with one break week. Lately, however, Oda has been taking more breaks than ever before. This has likely got to do with the fact that Oda is more exhausted than ever and, at the same time, the fact that he’s also juggling multiple projects, such as the One Piece Live Action series.

This means that breaks are more frequent, and, at other times, longer than usual, as is the case with the break that follows One Piece chapter 1130. Fans know that Oda dropped what can be considered to be one of the best chapters this week, but now, the manga is going on a break. However, instead of a one-week break, fans will have to endure a 2-week break. This means that the next One Piece chapter will drop in 3 weeks, as Oda is taking two weekends off. The reason for this break was recently announced, and it has likely to do with the One Piece Live Action series, which Oda is giving his input on in some way or form.

Oda recently went to South Africa as well, where shooting for One Piece Live Action was underway. He has now seemingly returned from South Africa, as was announced recently. Now, because of Oda’s involvement in One Piece Live Action Season 2, fans know that the series is going to go on a short break, and the manga will return in the month of November.

Oda’s Two Major Projects

Oda Plans For A Major Event On November 4

The One Piece break is going to be incredibly hard to deal with, especially because the Egghead anime is also on an extended break. But fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief because it was recently announced that Oda would be doing two separate projects in the upcoming weeks. Both of these projects seem to be very exciting, and they will surely fill in the void left behind by both the manga and the anime. Things are looking bright for One Piece fans, and hopefully, the upcoming 2 weeks are going to be more than just exciting for the readers.

Project 1: Oda To Reveal Details From Live Action

The first project that Oda is going to be focusing on, which will take place on October 28th, 2024, is going to be related to One Piece Live Action season 2. Given that Oda recently worked alongside the team at Tomorrow Studios, it is highly likely that he will have some important information to divulge. Now, fans don’t know much about One Piece Live Action Season 2 yet. But, what they do know is that it will cover the events up to the Drum Island Arc.

At the same time, fans know that many important characters have already been cast, but some of them are still under wraps, such as Chopper.

Perhaps, the major announcement that will be made next weekend is going to be pertaining to Chopper and how he will look in One Piece Live Action. Other than that, Oda can also reveal some other exciting information pertaining to One Piece Live Action, which would center around how certain arcs will go, and what changes might have been made in the Live Action version of the series. All this is exciting for the fans, but certainly not as exciting as the second project from Oda, which will be tackled the week after.

Project 2: Oda To Answer 10 Questions About One Piece

While Oda will focus on information about One Piece Live Action next week, the week after that, which is November 4th, 2024, Oda will do a question and answer session and reveal more information about One Piece and what it holds for the fans in the future. Fans don’t exactly know what these questions will be about, but, at the very least, they can expect them to have something to do with the Elbaf Arc. Oda will be asked 10 questions, and he will provide answers to every single one of them, which sets the expectations of the fans very high. These 10 questions could cover some of the most important stuff, especially when taking into consideration the fact that One Piece might just be in its biggest arc of all time.

At the same time, these 10 questions could also be about the remaining years that One Piece has now. Perhaps, Oda will reveal the year around which he aims to end One Piece. Perhaps, he might even reveal a major hint about what the One Piece is, or in what direction he wants Elbaf to head in. Oda has often revealed quite a lot of exciting clues, such as through messages in Jump Festa, every year. This is his opportunity to excite the fans even more, and, perhaps even provide some exciting information pertaining to his own characters. Regardless of which way this question-answer event goes, fans know that it is going to be exciting and that it will certainly fill in the void left behind by the manga.

I’m the Sun God that will destroy the world, Loki! – Loki

The week following this event, fans can finally rejoice as the One Piece manga will return officially and will drop incredible chapters in a run, continuing the Elbaf Arc in an exciting fashion.
