The Tesla Cybertruck electric pickup has captured the imagination of many creative people.
Even though the Cybertruck is still two years away from entering mass production, there are already some truly insane custom builds dedicated to it popping up online.
When Tesla unveiled the Cybertruck last month, the electric pickup’s novel design became a hot topic. Opinions about the Cybertruck were mixed. Some disliked it for being too simple and futuristic, while others loved it for being rugged and rugged.
Without waiting long, some Cybertruck fans, including many design experts, have envisioned some crazy modifications and accessories specifically for this vehicle.
Cybertruck Mods
The Cybertruck’s exterior is already pretty aggressive by most people’s standards, but automotive CG artist Arnold Verghese has designed an even more aggressive version, with dual tires on the rear axle.
Tesla’s pickup already performs exceptionally well in snow thanks to its powerful electric motor and optional four-wheel drive via dual motors. But Innov8 Design Lab took it a step further, adding…tracks to the Tesla Cybertruck:
Speaking of off-roading, artist Jon Sibal has designed a wide-body Tesla Cybertruck specifically for off-roading: the rear of the vehicle is raised a bit to better handle rough roads, quicksand, etc.
CEO Elon Musk has said that the Cybertruck was partly inspired by the Warthog pickup truck from the Halo games. Artist Mo Aoun has drawn a Warthog Cybertruck — apparently, it looks pretty similar.
What about additional accessories?
Musk says the Tesla Cybertruck will have a bunch of cool add-on accessories.
First up is the Tesla Cyberquad — an electric ATV — which has been confirmed to be an optional extra for Cybertruck buyers.
The Cybertruck may also have another unique accessory: a 5-wheel mobile cargo bed that attaches to the rear:
What if the Cybertruck accessory was an entire…house?
Russian architect Alexander Nerovnya has come up with a rather interesting house concept inspired by the Cybertruck:
Nerovnya also designed a rear-mounted mobile cargo bed with a Tesla Cybertruck-like design:
Of course, there will be huge differences from design to actual product, but it’s clear that with the current design of the Cybertruck, Tesla seems to be inviting people to design custom versions for their electric pickup truck.
Tesla itself may also offer some modifications, and the future Cybertruck modification market will certainly be very busy.
