Zoro is one of the strongest fighters in the One Piece world, and the fact that Luffy has him as one of his two wings is a blessing to him.
Fans know Zoro is driven by two things in particular. The first thing is to be the world’s best swordsman, which is something that he promised to Kuina in his childhood. The second thing that drives Zoro is making Luffy the Pirate King. Zoro is an incredibly exciting character and one that has amassed many fans over the years.
Naturally, fans are invested in his growth and have been amazed by how far he has come over the years. It is no surprise to know that fans are wondering about what Zoro’s final power-up in One Piece is going to be, especially since the time when he has to fight against Dracule Mihawk draws closer.
Zoro’s Current Power Level Is Very Impressive
Zoro Is A Monstrously Powerful Combatant
Zoro Recently Performed Well Against Lucci
Right now, the Straw Hat Pirates are in Elbaf and fans know that Zoro is one of the most reliable individuals that the weaker members of the crew can rely on. Elbaf is a warland and strength is required for the Straw Hat Pirates to successfully navigate this country. This is why the importance of characters such as Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji, is paramount. Here, it can be said that Zoro is one of the mightiest. After what Zoro endured in Wano, his current level is very impressive. For those who do not remember, Zoro certainly upgraded his powers in a major way in Wano. He received the power of the sword named Enma there, and because of the sword, his Haki was upgraded to the next level. Enma drew out the Ryuo from his body and led to him awakening Conqueror’s Haki Infusion.
Then I’ll become the King of Hell! – Zoro
Zoro first showed a glimpse of this power in the battle against Kaido, although unknowingly. Later on, when Zoro fought against King, he allowed the sword to suck up as much Ryuo from his body as possible and this allowed this blade to bring out his latent Conqueror’s Haki. With Zoro’s blades coded in Conqueror’s Haki and being able to utilize higher grades of Armament Haki, he was able to fight evenly against King. In fact, it can be said that once Zoro awakened his newfound powers, he was overwhelming King in every regard. It didn’t take so long to end the battle against King after, and as that happened, fans knew that Zoro had now evolved to the next level. Zoro claimed to be the King of Hell, and this was essentially him taking one step closer towards his dream.
Zoro continued to strengthen himself through the Egghead Arc as well. Fans saw him fight against Lucci there, and although this fight was rather even and ended without a proper conclusion, Zoro was certainly the one with the upper hand in the battle. Most significantly, fans saw Zoro fight with his King of Hell style here, and what was worth observing was that Zoro did not tire out too much. This is because he only tapped into his Conqueror’s Haki on certain occasions when it was important, and this way, Zoro can go on to preserve his Haki in long battles. This is certainly a step up for Zoro and while it isn’t highlighted by Oda in a major way, it is a big step forward for him.
What Zoro’s Ultimate Power Up Will Be
Zoro Needs To Get Stronger To Beat Mihawk
Right now, Zoro is in Elbaf and he is most definitely going to get stronger here too. This is especially true because Elbaf is the country of warriors, and Zoro knows that he will have to come out of this island stronger than ever before and ready to take on Mihawk in battle. As things stand, it is going to be difficult for Zoro to beat Mihawk. Zoro struggled greatly against King, at least until he awakened the power of Conqueror’s Haki Infusion. But, even with this power, he was not able to make a significant breakthrough in the battle against Lucci, who isn’t all that strong compared to the likes of Mihawk.
This goes to show that Zoro still has to go a long way in One Piece and strengthen himself in great ways.
My swords are far heavier than yours. – Zoro
The question remains as to how Zoro can strengthen himself. The answer lies in two methods. The first is to improve the efficiency of the Haki that he has, and the second is to get a new major power up.
Increasing Efficiency
In order for Zoro to be able to fight against Mihawk and hold his own ground, he first has to increase the efficiency of the powers that he already has. This means that Zoro has to brush up on his basic Haki types and the advanced versions of them as well. Zoro’s Observation Haki is decent, but it is certainly not the best. He needs to improve it significantly if he is to fight against Dracule Mihawk, the man known as Hawkeyes. Similarly, Zoro’s powers do not allow him to do Internal damage. He would have to train towards it and gain this power if he were to fight against Mihawk and hold his own. Most importantly, Zoro needs to find a way to maintain continuous usage of Enma without actually dying.
As things stand, Zoro, if Zoro goes all out, can only utilize the King of Hell style for a matter of minutes. If he overuses this form, he will end up dying. This is something that Zoro claimed himself. He will have to find a balance somehow, where, despite letting Enma drain as much Ryuo as possible, he still manages to stay standing in battle. This is going to be difficult for him, but Zoro will certainly have to figure out the answer to that, and once he manages to pull it off, he should certainly be as strong as a Marine Admiral. It is likely that the Elbaf Arc of One Piece is going to focus on this aspect of his power up and allow him to develop greatly.
How Zoro’s Last Power-Up Will Come Against Mihawk
Zoro Will Tap Into Asura King Of Hell
Although increasing the efficiency of the powers that Zoro has already would be a significant step for him to be able to defeat Mihawk, it will still not be enough. Zoro needs to gain another power up and this will most definitely be his final power up in One Piece. With this power up, Zoro will go on to beat Mihawk successfully and claim the title of the world’s greatest swordsman. It is also highly likely that this power-up will come in the battle against Mihawk himself, which will then see him ascend to the next level.
As to what this power-up is going to be, fans know that Zoro’s left eye is a big mystery that Oda has purposely kept hidden up until now. In fact, Oda has even hinted at Zoro’s eye being rather special to Watsuki, his mentor. The mystery surrounding the eye is unknown at this point, but, in the future, Oda will likely tackle it.
When he does, it is possible that Zoro’s power could be connected to his demonic aura, and that this demonic aura when unleashed, will finally allow Zoro to tap into the true power of the Asura spirit that he manifests at times. It is through this power that Zoro could potentially manifest King of Hell nine sword style, and with this greatest power up, he will potentially go on to defeat Mihawk for good.
