The Ice Road 2: Road to the Sky (2026) is an upcoming American action thriller film written and directed by Jonathan Hensleigh. It is the direct sequel to The Ice Road (2021). Liam Neeson returns from the first film, alongside Fan Bingbing, Bernard Curry, Geoff Morrell, and Grace O’Sullivan.
In this sequel, Mike McCann (Liam Neeson) embarks on a journey to Nepal to scatter his late brother’s ashes on Mount Everest. While traveling on a tour bus through the treacherous terrain of the Himalayas, Mike and his mountain guide encounter a group of mercenaries. They are forced to fight to save themselves, the passengers, and the local villagers’ homeland.
Filming began in January 2024 in Victoria, Australia. Amazon Prime Video has acquired international distribution rights (excluding Germany) for the film.
