Final Destination: Bloodlines (2025) is the sixth installment in the iconic horror franchise, marking its return after a 14-year hiatus. This time, the story centers on Stefanie Reyes, a college student plagued by recurring nightmares about the collapse of the Skyview Tower in 1968.
Upon returning home, Stefanie discovers that her grandmother, Iris Campbell, once had a premonition about that very disaster and managed to save several lives — unknowingly disrupting Death’s design. Now, Death has come back to finish what was left undone, targeting everyone in Iris’s bloodline.
The film delivers meticulously crafted, gruesome death sequences, including a chilling scene involving an MRI machine, where the character Erik is violently pulled into a magnetic field due to the metal piercings on his body — resulting in a horrifying demise. Other scenes recall classic moments from earlier films, such as the iconic highway accident, sending chills down the audience’s spine.
This is also the final film to feature Tony Todd in the iconic role of William Bludworth, the mysterious figure who has appeared throughout the franchise. His appearance is especially poignant following his passing in 2024.
With an impressive opening weekend and positive reception from fans, Final Destination: Bloodlines not only revives the beloved series but also paves the way for future installments.
