In today’s Bold and the Beautiful recap, Hope and Brooke are ready to celebrate Brooke’s return to power at Forrester, but Steffy is stunned and fights hard to keep her co-CEO title from being handed over to Brooke.

At Spencer, Katie told Bill and Liam about Donna’s concerns, but Liam said it might be a non-issue anyway since Hope was thinking of staying at Forester.
Liam revealed that Hope told Brooke how important she was to Forrester and got her fired up about making changes at the top. Liam said that it was possible that Steffy’s time as co-CEO might be up and Brooke might take her place — and if that happened, Hope would definitely be staying at Forrester.
Katie couldn’t believe that was possible, and Bill noted that if it did, she and Brooke would be going head to head. Liam reiterated that Hope thought it was possible that Brooke would be replacing Steffy.
Hope and Brooke Anticipate Steffy Dethroning
At Brooke’s, Hope marveled at her mom, who told her how it was time for her to take her “rightful place” at the helm of Forrester and was sure that Ridge would tell Steffy to step aside to make it happen.
Hope agreed that it would be right for Steffy to be co-CEO “one day,” but for now, Ridge and Brooke’s love story was what the world needed to see running Forrester.
Brooke giggled with anticipation and thanked Hope for seeing it her way. Hope insisted that Steffy would be blindsided, but Brooke thought that although she might be unhinged at first, Steffy would one day see it was the right call.
Hope said it was nice that her mom was so sensitive to Steffy’s feelings, but she wasn’t as sympathetic. She pumped up Brooke’s right to feel entitled to wearing the crown.
Brooke was sure that Steffy would step down and she would be made co-CEO. Hope prayed that she was right and hinted that her career depended on it.
Steffy Is Stunned
At Forrester, Steffy was mind-blown that Ridge was asking her to step down. “I thought you were proud of me!” she cried. Ridge assured her that it had nothing to do with her accomplishments.
“It’s not a reflection on you, it’s a reflection on Brooke,” Ridge explained. He told her Brooke’s arguments about wanting to be Stephanie to his Eric. Steffy fumed that Brooke made significant contributions, but so did she.
Steffy pointed out that she had the relationships with everyone that they did business with. Ridge agreed it was important, but he was focused on making his Logan happy.
Ridge insisted he was giving all the credit to Steffy for where they were at, and that he couldn’t have done what they had together without her. Steffy reminded him that they wouldn’t have even gotten back Forrester if it wasn’t for her.
Steffy Pleads Her Case
“For that alone, we shouldn’t be talking about this,” Steffy fumed. She told Ridge if he needed to give Brooke a new title, pick one, any one, but not hers.
Steffy told Ridge that it was a really bad idea, especially when he factored in the history of him choosing Brooke and dividing the family. She said that he just loved Brooke more.
Steffy told Ridge that she, Phoebe, and Thomas never chose for Brooke to take a priority over them in their life, and he was doing it again. She said that the scars were real and losing out to Brooke over and over again hurt.
“You could stand up to Brooke,” Steffy suggested. She held back her tears as she asked her dad not to do this, not to take her job away and give it to Hope, and for once, to just say no to Brooke.
