Born Jay Wayne Jenkins in 1977, Jeezy grew up in an âempty childhood.â His parents divorced early. His mother struggled with alcohol, beat him, and constantly tore him down with words. He bounced between relativesâ houses with no real home, no stability, and no love.
By the time he was just 11 or 12 years old, Jeezy was already selling crack on the streets of Atlanta just to survive â to buy food, clothes, and help his family. The streets became his only teacher.

At 18, he was arrested and sent to boot camp for six months. That was his wake-up call. While many of his friends were dying or going to prison, Jeezy made a decision most people thought was crazy:
He walked away from the streets.
He poured everything he had into music. From underground mixtapes to his breakthrough album Thug Motivation 101, Jeezy didnât just survive â he built an empire and brought trap music to the world.
Today, the boy who once had nothing is a platinum-selling artist, successful businessman, and author of the bestselling book Adversity For Sale.
Jeezy once said:
âI knew if I stayed in the streets, I wasnât going to make it. I had to bet on myself.â

The powerful lesson:
It doesnât matter how broken your beginning is. It doesnât matter how dark your past was.
You can rewrite your story. You can turn your pain into power. You can go from âemptyâ to unstoppable.
