He was just a skinny kid obsessed with computers.
At age 13, Bill Gates discovered programming at his school and fell madly in love with it. He and his best friend Paul Allen would sneak into the computer lab and code until early morning.

Then came the biggest decision of his life.
In 1975, while studying at Harvard, Bill received a life-changing opportunity. He chose to drop out of one of the world’s greatest universities to start a tiny company called Microsoft with Paul. His parents were worried. The world thought he was crazy.
But Bill believed computers would one day sit on every desk and in every home.
Through countless failures, lawsuits, and criticism, he kept going. Microsoft went from a tiny startup to the most valuable company in the world. Bill became the richest person on Earth.
Yet, at the peak of his success, he made another life-changing decision.

In 2000, he stepped down as CEO of Microsoft to focus on something bigger — giving his wealth away. Together with his wife Melinda, he created the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the largest private foundation in the world.
To date, they have donated over $50 billion to fight diseases, improve education, and save millions of lives around the globe. Bill and Warren Buffett also started The Giving Pledge, encouraging billionaires to give away most of their fortune.
From a college dropout who believed in the power of software… to a man who has helped save millions of children’s lives.

Bill Gates once said: “Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose. But true impact comes when you use your success to serve others.”
If you’ve ever been told your dreams are too big… If you’ve ever failed and felt like quitting… If you want to make a real difference in this world…
Remember Bill Gates’ journey.

It’s not just about how much you achieve. It’s about what you do with what you achieve.
