One Piece: The Identity Of The Mysterious Swordsman, Explained

One Piece chapter 1121 was absolutely sensational and finally saw Vegapunk’s message beginning to wrap up. This message has been going on for quite a few chapters, and it certainly lit up the Egghead Island Arc, and with that, the Final Saga of the entire series. One Piece chapter 1121, in particular, was absolutely incredible, and saw the message finally beginning to end.

However, before this message concluded, it touched upon a lot of things, such as the fate of the world, the impending doom, and above all, those who are active in the quest for the One Piece. On the very final page of the chapter, fans got to see the main players in the Final Saga, and one of them is a completely new character who also appears to be a swordsman. Fans don’t know who this individual is yet, but his identity certainly seems to be very important.

The Mysterious Swordsman Could Be A Key Player In The Final Saga

One Piece chapter 1121 revealed quite a lot of exciting things to the fans. However, much of the talking point has been on the very last page of the chapter. As Vegapunk was concluding his message, he revealed that whoever goes on to claim the One Piece is the person who has the fate of the entire world in their hands. Of course, Joy Boy intended for the next user of the Nika fruit to find the One Piece. In other words, Joy Boy wants Luffy to find the One Piece as he is Joy boy himself. However, as Vegapunk mentioned, it isn’t a guarantee that Luffy will be the one to find the One Piece. Even though Joy Boy wanted that to be the case, it is not necessarily going to end up that way, and Oda took this opportunity to reveal the key players in the Final Saga when it comes to the quest for the One Piece.

All these characters are going to affect the plot in some way or form, and fans will certainly get to see more of them towards the end of Egghead, and further down the line. There are the Four Emperors of the Sea. Fans know them to be the most involved characters when it comes to the race For the One Piece. Luffy, as fans know, has always been in this race, and he is an active player from her onwards. Blackbeard is yet another powerful individual who fans know is on the quest to claim the One Piece.

He also intends to become the king of the entire world later down the line. Buggy was recently revealed to be a Yonko, and at the same time, he also announced his desire of becoming the Pirate King and claiming the One Piece for good. Other than these three, there is also Shanks, who, although on the sidelines up until the Final Saga, has now finally decided to move. Shanks also wants to claim the One Piece, as he mentioned himself to his right-hand man, Ben Beckman. All these individuals are incredibly important in the race for the One Piece. However, they are not the only ones who will influence how and by whom the One Piece is going to be found. There are also the members of the Marines, such as Sakazuki, the Revolutionary Army members, such as Dragon and Sabo, along with some other key individuals who Oda set up in One Piece chapter 1121.

The Clues Left Behind By Oda

The Mysterious Swordsman Might Have A Connection To The Celestial Dragons

One Piece chapter 1121 revealed quite a lot of exciting things to the fans, and one of the most important things was the introduction of a completely new character. In a small panel on the very last page of One Piece, fans were introduced to yet another swordsman, who was completely in silhouette. Fans don’t know who this character is yet, however, he is most definitely going to be very important, given that he was on one of the most important pages in the entire series, and quite easily the most important page in the Final Saga of One Piece, when it comes to setting up what comes next.

This character is a mystery at this point in time, but fans will surely find out more about him later down the line.

While there aren’t many things confirmed about him, fans can certainly pick up a few clues left behind by Oda. The first and the easiest clue is, of course, that this character is male. After that, fans can also tell that this individual wields a sword. However, the sword he wields isn’t just any regular sword. It is a saber. This indicates that this character is similar to the likes of Saint Garling Figarland and Shanks in terms of the weapons they wield. When carefully looking at the face of this individual, the appearance is also somewhat similar to Shanks, even though most of this character is covered in silhouette. Fans don’t know much about him at this point, but these are all the small clues left behind by Oda in One Piece chapter 1121.

The Identity Of The Mysterious Swordsman

The Mysterious Swordsman Might Be Shanks’s Brother

Of course, fans are wondering right now as to who this mysterious character in One Piece chapter 1121 is. There are not many guesses that fans can take at this point in time, but there are some characters who this person could potentially be. The very first guess is that this person is Shanks’s sibling. Fans know that Saint Garling Figarland had children, and this individual could just end up beating Shanks’s brother. The similarities between him and Shanks are that they are both users of sabers and even the design of their swords is very similar. The similarity in facial structure also matches. However, why Shanks’s brother would be given such importance here remains unknown.

The second and likely the most accurate guess is that this person is the man with the burn scar. Oda has slowly been incorporating this character into the Final Saga, and fans already know that there will be a moment in the story when this individual is going to be focused on quite a lot. The man with the burn scar is going to be very important, and it would make sense for him to be on the final page of the chapter, which also happens to be one of the most important pages in all of One Piece.

As things stand, this person is either somehow Shanks’s brother, or they are the man with the burn scar, who carries the last Road Poneglyph that many Pirates are seeking at this point in time. Fans will simply have to sit back and watch the story being woven by Oda around this character in the upcoming few chapters.
