Given his turbulent history, it’s hard not to find some twisted admiration for him.
Teach serves as a prime example of what it means to be a taker:
- His desire for the darkness fruit led him to murder his crewmate (Thatch) to seize it.
- In pursuit of the quake fruit, he betrayed and killed his former captain (Whitebeard).
- He captured Ace and exchanged him for a position as a Warlord.
- He infiltrated Impel Down level six, gathering a crew as he went.
- He overpowered Marco and the remains of the Whitebeard Pirates.
- He successfully recruited a former admiral (Kuzan) into his crew.
- He seized Pudding from the Big Mom Pirates.
- He captured Koby, only to later lose him while gaining Garp in the process.
- He defeated Law in combat.
