Luffy’s meeting with Loki continued in this chapter, and at the same time, Oda also set up other exciting stuff, such as the reunion between a few characters.
Elbaf is going to be the arc of reunions, and there is certainly going to be more than just one group that finally comes together. It seems like the build-up towards that has already begun, and One Piece chapter 1131 was absolutely massive in that regard, with a lot more still to come.

As fans know, Luffy and all those whom he recruited in the East Blue, along with Chopper, formed one-half of the Straw Hat Pirates who were already exploring Elbaf. They already met the likes of Road, and at the same time, even explored a significant portion of the first level of this country. At the same time, Luffy himself even went down to the underworld, where he came face to face with Loki. Their meeting is still ongoing, with Loki currently wanting Luffy to free him. Meanwhile, Sanji and his group are currently moving towards the second level of Elbaf, where there is a massive city, and they have their fair share of problems to deal with.

Most importantly, the ship of the Giant Pirates, called the Great Eirik, is headed towards Elbaf. This means that Nico Robin is now finally getting closer to seeing Saul, and in One Piece chapter 1131, fans even saw Robin finally getting her hair cut. It was Brook who cut her hair, stating that it was the first time he had ever cut the hair of a lady. That said, Brook did a phenomenal job, returning Robin to her original haircut. Fans know Robin to have had bangs most of her life, and this hairstyle of hers is absolutely spectacular in more ways than one. It shows that Robin is returning to her roots, and preparing for her reunion with Saul. With Robin’s haircut having been done, now is the time for her to go meet with this Giant whom she separated from over 20 years ago. However, this reunion that Oda is building up might not happen as fans had wished.

Saul Might Have Exhausted Himself
In One Piece chapter 1131, fans got terrible news towards the end. It was revealed that Saul had somehow collapsed, and the cause of this remains unknown. The nearby Giants were seen in an uproar, asking for help. What exactly happened to Saul isn’t known, but collapsing randomly the way he did is not normal. This might be an indication of the fact that Saul suffers from some sort of an illness or a life-threatening disease. Clearly, if Oda has introduced it as a plot point in the Elbaf, it must hold some weight.
Perhaps, Saul would need to be cured, or something would need to be secured for him from somewhere within the land of Elbaf. This could make for an interesting mission for the Straw Hat Pirates to tackle, especially for Nico Robin, who would want to show her worth now as a pirate with 930 million berries on her head.

Unfortunately, Saul and Robin’s reunion will not go as fans had intended. It is highly likely not going to be a happy reunion because Saul has just collapsed, and Robin, upon seeing that, would most definitely be puzzled and, at the same time, very stressed.
It also depends on how severe Saul’s ailment is. If his life is in danger, then, the reunion is likely not going to be a happy one and will soon turn the gears of the arc and speed it up even further. However, Saul’s passing out can also be due to something else entirely.
On a much lighter note, Oda can go down a very unique route here. Saul could simply have passed out from reading too many books. After all, he is known as a scholar on Elbaf, which means that he has dived into all his books head first ever since the events of the destruction of Ohara, and decided to become a beacon of light and hope for the next generation. In many ways, Saul now carries all the information pertaining to the research of Ohara, in his head, and that essentially means that he must be spending way too many hours studying and researching things. As such, it may be possible that Saul’s passing out is due to exhaustion, and this could simply be an indication from Oda that he is now a famed scholar and someone who loves to read.
Will Robin And Saul’s Reunion Happen Soon?

Regardless of whether Saul is suffering from some life-threatening illness or if it’s simply passing out from exhaustion, fans will see Nico Robin meet with him soon enough. Robin has already got her hair cut, and is most likely prepared to see him once again. One Piece chapter 1132, or potentially the chapter after that, is likely going to be when these two reunite. Hopefully, Saul has only passed out from exhaustion, which means that when he does wake up, he’s going to see Robin in front of him and a heartwarming reunion will finally be delivered to the fans.
It is also highly likely that once Saul does wake up, he will provide a full image of how he actually managed to survive the events of Ohara, and how he carried all the books from there to Elbaf. There is a lot of interesting information that Saul holds that he has not made public yet, and it should be headed fans’ way soon enough. In that sense, this upcoming reunion is not just going to be heartwarming but also eye-opening for many fans because it will reveal information that they had never expected. Perhaps Saul could also reveal a major clue about the final Road Poneglyph, which is something that every major pirate is in the hunt for at this point in time.
While Saul and Robin’s reunion is edging closer, so is Luffy and Shanks’s. This is simply because it was revealed that Shanks stood 6 years ago where Luffy is standing right now and he even spoke to Loki. Fans know that Elbaf is Shanks’s territory, and Loki knowing him further solidifies the fact that Shanks will be involved in this arc in one way or another. When that happens, his reunion with Luffy will play out as well.
