Music mogul Simon Cowell, 65, and his fiancée Lauren Silverman, 47, were pictured jet skiing in Barbados as they enjoyed a winter break
Simon Cowell, 65, was seen soaking up the sun with his fiancée Lauren Silverman, 47, on a blissful Barbados holiday. The duo, parents to 10 year old Eric, were all smiles in Bridgetown this Sunday, enjoying some jet-skiing action on the idyllic island.
The couple appeared to be in great spirits as they zipped across the waves, pausing for playful chats when their paths crossed. Both Simon and Lauren flaunted their sun-kissed glows while keeping it incognito behind shades.
Simon opted for extra coverage in a tee and long shorts, flashing peace signs and thumbs-ups as he frolicked in the sea with Lauren. This tropical escape marks a change of pace for Simon, who has maintained a low profile recently following the heartbreaking loss of One Direction’s Liam Payne, who passed away at the tender age of 31 in October.
Simon had previously expressed his profound sorrow over Liam’s passing, visibly consoled by Liam’s parents at the funeral. In the wake of Liam’s tragic accident in Argentina, Simon had penned an emotional tribute: “You never really know how you feel about someone until a moment like this happens. Liam, I am devastated. Heartbroken. And I feel empty. And I want you to know how much love and respect I have for you. Every tear I have shed is a memory of you.”

“This is so difficult to put into words right now. I went outside today, and I thought about so many times we had together. I wanted to let you know what I would always say to the thousands of people who would always ask me. What is Liam like? And I would tell them you were kind, funny, sweet, thoughtful, talented, humble, focused. And how much you loved music. And how much love you genuinely had for the fans.”, reports the Mirror.

Despite Liam’s passing, Simon maintains a connection with his family through former The X Factor judge Cheryl. It was Simon who reportedly played matchmaker for Cheryl and Liam, who later welcomed their son Bear in March 2017.
Bear brought Simon and Cheryl back together after a falling out, with Simon revealing that Liam’s son gets along well with Eric.

Simon’s low profile following Liam’s death may be due to accusations from some X Factor stars that Liam’s fame from the show contributed to his struggles. Former X Factor star Katie Waissel, who appeared on the 2010 series, lashed out at Simon Cowell after Liam’s death.
Katie wrote: “My heart is completely torn to shreds right now, I am at an absolute loss for words. If Simon Cowell dare put a statement out on the heart wrenching, tragic loss of my dear and darling friend Liam, he would be a fool. We all know the truth… and I’ll be sure it all comes out.”

She continued, emotionally adding: “His tragic passing not only leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who loved him but also serves as a painful reminder of the systemic neglect that persists in the industry.”
Singer Rebecca Ferguson also suggested that Liam’s premature death could have been avoided if he hadn’t pursued his dream on X Factor: “It’s always a hotel room! We both met at Euston station and shared the taxi together to X Factor. I can’t help but think of that boy who was hopeful and looking forward to his bright future ahead. If he hadn’t jumped on that train and jumped in that taxi I believe he would be alive today.”
