After witnessing Gohan’s Beast Form during Dragon Ball Super chapter 103, Goku got an idea to help Broly control his transformation. Kakarot asked his son to spar with Broly, as he believed that Paragus’ son could learn from Gohan’s new technique. Kakarot’s son explained that his new technique allowed him to use his anger to power up significantly, almost making him lose control of his emotions. Broly, who had been struggling with a similar situation, used this information to try and control his Super Saiyan form.
Thanks to his quick spar with Gohan, Broly became able to transform without losing control of himself. This was a huge step in his training, as Goku and Vegeta had been looking for ways to help him achieve this without any success. It could also mean that Broly could soon learn to transform even further. Now that he has full control of his actions while in Super Saiyan, Paragus’ son could begin his training to unlock the other transformations that have been featured throughout the franchise. It is possible that the young Saiyan could even manage to obtain a transformation that harnesses divine Ki, like Super Saiyan Blue. Since Broly is living on Beerus’ planet, he could join Goku and Vegeta’s training with Beerus to help him unlock these unique forms. In Time, Broly could grow to become stronger than Goku and Vegeta, as his nature as the Legendary Super Saiyan would make his transformations even stronger than theirs. Nonetheless, Paragus’ son would likely need to learn to control his power with each form, as most of them are powered by anger.
Gohan Could Become Broly’s Mentor

Like his father, Gohan has been shown several times to have an innate ability to teach others how to fight. He was Trunks’ mentor in the future, taught Videl how to control her Ki, and was able to help Broly control his transformation. Dragon Ball Super chapter #103 could imply that Gohan will have a major role in teaching Broly how to use his powers effectively. Goku’s son was vital for Broly’s progress as a fighter, and he seems to be one of the few people who could understand his struggles.
Similar to Broly, Gohan has often been shown as a person who can easily lose control of his emotions. When Raditz invaded Earth and kidnapped him, Goku’s son exploded with anger, briefly tapping into his true power due to his intense hatred. His Beat Form is the culmination of years of training to control his emotions. Gohan becoming Broly’s mentor would greatly help Paragus’ son hone his abilities while learning from one of Earth’s most powerful and skilled warriors.
Their mentorship could also have a symbolic meaning behind it, with Gohan continuing the legacy of those who have trained him. Goku and Piccolo often act as mentors for younger fighters, like Goten, Trunks, or Pan. Broly could be the first step in Gohan becoming a prominent teacher in the Dragon Ball Universe, keeping up with his family’s tradition. This could also be used as a way to keep Goku’s son from neglecting his training, something that has occurred several times in the past.
Broly is without a doubt one of the most beloved Dragon Ball characters. Achieving control over his powers and learning new transformations could turn him from a sporadic side character into a fully-fledged Z-Warrior.
