Dawn of the Beast is a horror creature-feature directed by Bruce Wemple. The film mixes cryptid horror with supernatural elements, pitting characters against multiple terrifying creatures, including Bigfoot and the Wendigo.

Plot Summary:

The story follows a group of graduate students who venture into the remote wilderness of the Northeastern United States, intending to research cryptids like Bigfoot. Their professor warns them about an “untouchable zone” that locals avoid, where a deadly Wendigo is rumored to roam. Despite the warning, the group presses on and, while in the wilderness, they encounter strange signs and unsettling phenomena that suggest they’re not alone.

As night falls, the group finds themselves being hunted by both Bigfoot and the Wendigo. The cryptids seem to be locked in a primal rivalry, but their hatred for each other does little to reduce the danger for the students. Trapped in the forest, the students must confront their fears, outwit the creatures, and try to survive until morning, even as it becomes clear that they may not all make it out alive.
