The Green Inferno is a visceral, brutal horror film that takes viewers deep into the heart of the Amazon rainforest, where a group of well-meaning activists find themselves facing unimaginable terror. The story begins with a group of college students, led by the passionate and idealistic Justine, who travel to the Amazon to support a campaign against the deforestation of the rainforest. Their mission is noble: they aim to protect the indigenous tribes and the natural environment from destruction by corporate interests.
However, their sense of adventure and righteous cause quickly turns into a nightmare when their plane crashes deep within the jungle. The group, now stranded in a remote and unforgiving wilderness, soon discovers that the very people they sought to help may not be the benevolent souls they imagined.
