On Sunday, Dec. 29, the star, 44, debuted a fresh hair style: a blunt bob! She showed off her shorter look in a series of Christmas photos that she posted to Instagram, posing in a glamorous red spaghetti-strap gown alongside her four children, daughter North, 11, son Saint, 9, daughter Chicago, 6, and son Psalm, 5.
The new hair length is only the latest in a series of dramatic transformations for the SKIMS founder throughout the holiday season. At the company’s Christmas party in Los Angeles on Dec. 19, the mogul sported a ’90s-era hairstyle, complete with high volume, large waves and swooping bangs — which she paired with a form-fitting red leather gown.
Kim also rocked a tousled blonde do in the music video for her breathy cover of the holiday classic “Santa Baby,” which she released to streaming services on Dec. 23.
The hair chameleon has been know to embrace a bob over the years. In May 2019 — not long after welcoming Psalm — she got a cut from her go-to pro: celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, who gave her a chic, chin-length bob.
“Big cut for @kimkardashian today. Who likes the short hair?” Appleton wrote on Instagram, confirming that the style worn by Kardashian — who has been known to embrace wigs from time to time — was in fact her natural hair.
In 2023, she also debuted a bobbed hairstyle in a casual bedroom selfie she posted to Instagram, giving fans an even better look at her new hair several weeks later in a promotion video for SKIMS.
And earlier this year — days after wearing a controversial, waist-snatching silver corset to the 2024 Meta Gala paired with a mid-length icy blonde hair look — Kim stepped out in New York City with a trimmed blonde bob evoking Marilyn Monroe’s classic look.
Hair transformations aside, the entrepreneur has spent the holiday season with family. On Christmas Eve, she and her daughter North posted a festive video to their joint TikTok account dancing to Ariana Grande’s holiday hit “Santa Tell Me” — Kim in a bodycon snakeskin dress, and North in a cropped black blazer, white corset, and black necktie.
Earlier in the month, Kim declared momager Kris Jenner, 69, the winner of Christmas for the custom wrapping paper she used for each of the members of the Kardashian-Jenner family.
“Okay I think my mom wins on the Christmas wrapping this year. How cute is this?” said Kim in a video she posted to Snapchat of the wrapped presents.
“It’s very easy to see whose gift is whose,” she added. “Love that. How cute.”
