Travis Barker shared that his romance with wife Kourtney Kardashian started on a sweaty note.
The rocker, 48, revealed that he was ‘workout buddies’ with the Kardashians star, 45, before sparks flew and they started a relationship.
‘It’s one of the main reasons we were so close,’ he told People in a new interview, while promoting his upcoming Run Travis Run event.
‘We would always work out together and run together or do stuff like that together before we were ever in a relationship — we were workout buddies forever. It was what started it all,’ he added.
The Blink-182 drummer said that the pair have continued to stay active together, even after welcoming son Rocky in November 2023.

‘We’ll do Pilates together, we’ll carve out a half hour or an hour every day to go out,’ he said of his routine with the Poosh founder.
Travis said he begins his day by ‘walking 30 minutes while I consume some sort of audiobook or podcast.’
He shared he does the same thing during nighttime because he has always ‘struggled with sleeping’ especially after playing a show when he’s ‘ wound up and hyper.’
He also said he has borrowed Kourtney’s recipe for a ‘really good avocado shake.’
‘I stole her shake from her, and I’ve just made that evolve a little bit and I made my own. We’re both really into wellness. I introduced her to matcha back in the day. She’s introduced me to particular foods.’
Travis said the mother-of-four eats a vegan diet ‘about 75 percent of the time.’
‘It’s amazing to be with someone that has the same love for wellness,’ he added.
Run Travis Run is set to take place in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 6, and in Queens, New York, on Sunday, July 21.
Travis and Kourtney got in character as Forrest Gump and Jenny to film a funny promo video for the drummer’s running event last month.
The musician reenacted scenes from Forrest Gump’s epic run across the United States dressing in a similar short-sleeve plaid shirt, belted khaki pants and a red ball cap.

Travis and Kourtney held their wedding in Portofino over the summer of 2022 and then welcomed their little boy this past November
He runs through a field and down a dirt path with trees and yellow flowers on either side of him as the song Run Forrest Run by Alan Silvestri from the 1994 film plays in the background.
At one point, he runs past his wife Kourtney who yells out: ‘Run Travis Run!’
He captioned the post: ‘I just felt like running,’ which is the same thing Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump told a reporter in the movie when he was asked why he ran across the United States for three years, two months, 14 days, and 16 hours, covering 13,889 miles and crossing the country almost five times.
On the event’s page Travis writes: ‘After my accident in 2008 more than 70% of my body was burnt and I was told by doctors that I may never be able to walk or play drums the same again. I was never athletic and I never played sports but I immediately had this urge to prove everyone wrong including myself.’
‘It started off with short walks and then that turned into short runs everyday. I felt this sense of calmness and a rush of dopamine every time I ran. I’ve kept this up for years now, and I always start my day with it. I even run 3 miles everyday before my shows when I’m on tour.’
‘This past year I ran my first half marathon and participated in a few 5k’s. I loved how everyone from all walks of life ran together and supported one another. The running community is massive and it really inspired me to create Run Travis Run as a way to bring like minded people together. I wanna motivate people to get outside and walk or run for a few hours, as well as make healthy decisions and create healthy habits.’
‘This is what Run Travis Run is built off of and we are just getting started.’
The event guide states: ‘It’s official: Travis Barker is hitting the road once again – but this time, it’s for running!
